RD540 Ultra Low Pressure High Performance Rupture Disc

RD540 Ultra Low Pressure High Performance Rupture Disc

Smooth, Reverse-Acting, Lowest Burst Pressure

Fike RD540 solves the problems found in graphite rupture discs, resulting in one of the first high-performance metallic rupture discs for use in fragile low-pressure applications, such as glass-lined reactors.

In more fragile applications such as glass-lined reactors which cannot endure high-pressure shocks, low burst pressure rupture discs are required.  Traditionally, these low burst pressures were only achievable by graphite rupture discs, which have been proven to:

  • Fragment into thousands of pieces, requiring an extensive cleanup process
  • Fracture when enduring extreme temperature changes
  • Leak emissions

Fike RD540 solves these problems and brings the benefits of our patented G2 manufacturing technology into a low-pressure disc, resulting in extremely high operating ratios, cycle life and lead times.
